Following the second half kick-off strong pressure on the Reeds backline within their 22 sees them spill the ball over their line, Leon Atkins (18) capitalises winning the race to the ball and earning his debut try. Conversion missed. REEDS 17 – OCS 13. Reeds win a penalty off an OCs scrum and opt for the posts, the Reeds 15 picks up the points. REEDS 20 – OCS 13. The restart couldn’t get much worse for OCs as Reeds quickly move the ball wide to their 13 who uses his pace to reach the OCs 22 before offloading to their 14 who scores in the corner. Conversion missed. REEDS 25 – OCS 13. Off the back of a scrum Reeds quickly move the ball to their 13 who goes half the pitch before a 2 on 1 sees their winger score in the corner. Try converted. REEDS 32 – OCS 13. After a long battle in the middle of the park OCs work their way up to the Reeds 5m line and get the ball to Quba Edwin (11) who breaks through a couple defenders to take the try. With the clock ticking and Reeds 15 points clear, OCs were determined to narrow the gap. OCs worked up to the opposition 22m before James Amor (6) was able to find space on a wide line and drive over for the try. Napper (10) converts. REEDS 35 – OCS 27. After the restart Reeds give up a penalty but the points are missed. Reeds send the 22m drop out deep into OCs half finding David Edwards (15) who returns a high clearance kick which is gathered by the Reeds 10 who shows his pace and the gaps in the OCs defence to go under the sticks scoring the try. Off a lineout within Reeds 22m, OCs forwards take several phases to the line giving the backs enough space to spread the ball wide to Quba Edwin (11) who gets the offload off to Jack Nagel (13) who scores in the corner.
