U16’s – A fantastic 64-22 home win for the OCs/Greenwich Pirates v Medway. With Medway fighting hard until tiredness kicked in. Looking forward to the return leg.
U14’s– played a home match against Dover Today in the Kent Waterfall. The first half was a bit of an arm wrestle where we had a lot of the ball but met stubborn Dover defence. Some powerful running from Caleb on the wing and Reuben in the centre gave us front foot ball and we went into the break three tries up. The second half we tried some new combinations. Some powerful forward play and some good individual skills brought us to a convincing 47-7 victory, with Dover playing their part to make it a great game. Lots still to work on but another good performance and another step forward from last week. That’s five wins from five.
U13s – 30-15 winners (I think) vs Beccehamians away in a friendly. We’re seeing huge improvements with attacking prowess on show. Plenty to work on, but very happy leading in to a Kent match next Sunday vs Sidcup. Sammy’s first shiner, too…
U12s – were also at Beccehamians, for a Kent game. The team played well and were 20-10 up at half time, but the final result was a 25-25 draw. We remain unbeaten this season.
U12 Girls – did really well at the Kent Waterfall. Two wins from four games including a thumping six-try win over Dartford. Really tenacious effort from them all – great teamwork, great tackling and some lovely handling skills. They are developing fantastically. Yet to hear the full results but we think they have qualified for the plate.
